Mechanisation that grows with your farm

Walking tractors — also called two-wheel tractors or power tillers — are highly versatile machines that use interchangeable implements to perform a wide range of tasks for small to medium-scale farming and gardening. The Mealie Brand walking tractor is rated at 24 hp, runs on diesel and is water-cooled.

The same tractor can be fitted with a plough, ridger, planter, cultivator, harrow, ripper, boom sprayer and more, so one engine covers land preparation through to transport. Stand-alone machines such as the multi-crop thresher handle the work after harvest.

Two-Wheel Tractors

The 24 hp diesel, water-cooled walking tractor is the power unit for the whole range — one machine for tillage, planting, spraying and haulage.

Walking Tractor Implements

Interchangeable tillage implements for the walking tractor: two-furrow and disc ploughs, harrow, cultivator, ridger and a 2-tyne ripper for breaking compacted soil.

Mechanised Planting

Plant faster and more evenly. The two-row planter rips, places seed and fertiliser and closes the furrow in one pass on no-till or tilled land; the single-row ripper planter is a lighter 12–24 hp option.

Crop Protection & Spraying

The boom sprayer carries a 145 L tank and covers a 6 m width with anti-drip nozzles and uniform pressure distribution for reliable crop protection.

Harvesting & Post-Harvest Processing

Harvest faster and lose less grain. The diesel corn harvester cuts field time and labour; the multi-crop thresher shells maize, millet, sorghum and beans at up to 4–5 t/hr (15 hp); the electric corn sheller gives farmers and grain businesses high shelling capacity; and the groundnut sheller takes different screens for different nut varieties.

How powerful is the Mealie Brand two-wheel tractor?

It is rated at 24 hp, runs on diesel and is water-cooled.

Which implements work with the two-wheel tractor?

The booklet and 2026 flyer list the two-furrow plough, 2-disc plough, harrow, cultivator, ridger, ripper, planter, boom sprayer and 1.5 t trailer. The tractor can also drive a hammer mill or grinding mill.

Can the two-row planter work without ploughing first?

Yes. It is rated for no-tilled land as well as conventionally tilled land, and it rips, places seed and fertiliser, and closes and presses the furrow in one pass. It needs 24 hp.

How much can the multi-crop thresher process?

The 5 hp model handles 0.5–1 t/hr of maize and the 15 hp model 4–5 t/hr. Both shell husked and unhusked maize, millet, sorghum and beans, and come on wheels.

What does the boom sprayer cover?

It has a 145 L tank, sprays a 6 m width, discharges up to 35 L per minute through a 0.37 kW peripheral pump, and needs 12–24 hp.

What size is the walking-tractor trailer?

The 1.5-tonne tipping trailer measures 360 × 140 × 95 cm and uses pin hitching.
